A new weekly staple in our family. Fresh and light granola recipe, lots of flavor and a lot less sugar.
Cranberry Orange Granola
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecan pieces
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup dried coconut
- 1/4 cup ground flax
- 4 cups rolled oats
- zest of 2 small oranges
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 4 tbsp. pure maple syrup, honey or agave nectar
- 2 tsp. virgin coconut oil
Step 1 – Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized mixing bowl and spread out on an ungreased cooking sheet.
Step 2 – Bake at 300 F. for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 3 – Allow to cool and store in an air tight container or ziplock bag.
